I received the most wonderful package in the mail! I don't even know how they did this, but my design team (past and present) got together and all sent me birthday cards to celebrate TSB's 2nd birthday. Look at what I got for Mother's Day!!

Look at what I received for Mother's day yesterday from my 16 year-old DD Kalie. A handmade card and 6 decorated sketching pencils. It's the best gift anyone's ever given me. I just love it. I'm all too aware that I won't be getting many more handmade gifts from my girls, so I especially cherish this one. All you mommy's of little ones who received handmade gifts, take good care of those gifts because all too soon you'll start getting flowers and CD's. Which is great, but nothing in as special as the cards written is crayons and the paper flowers. Happy one day late Mother's Day!

It's been such a long time since I've drawn "My Little Audrey" TSB designer, Collette Landwer, requested and Audrey flower girl with a ring of flowers in her hair and an empire dress (LOL!) and I couldn't resist. This weekend is turning out pretty crummy. windy and cold. Yuck! What happened to the beautiful spring weather?
Oh! I'll give a little update on my Snickers. (my wiener dog who had the kidney stones removed) she's back at home and get's to sleep in mommy and daddy's bed. :D She's moving around a lot better today. It was so sad yesterday. My heart was breaking. Well, I guess everyone doesn't want to hear all of this. To wrap it up, she's doing fine and is snoring right next to me as I type.

I drew "Thoughts" because it represents how most of my thoughts are loving and kind but, once in awhile. "oh my!" My kids, or something will just set me off and I just lose it. These are the swirls. I could have made them a little crazier but, I didn't want it to be too nuts. Anyway, that's the thought process behind this image. There's probably some peri-menopausal issues behind my madness but, we won't discuss that. LOL!

I drew this little thing last night while watching TV with my husband and stepson. I have no idea why I'm into these little whimsy quotes right now. They're just so much fun to draw. This was the 4th image I drew yesterday. I drew 3 for Unity and then this one. I was on a roll. I love days like that! I kept trying to work on my chart for my Prisma class and some stuff for my Copic class but, drawing kept calling me back. Sketching and drawing is my first love by far. I'm just not happy if I'm not working on a drawing.

Good morning,
I reworked an older image called, "Emma in the Candy Store" I simplified it a little and improved on some things. I'm calling it "Penny Candy" I think it's a lot better now. As with all my new work, the resolution is much better, simply because I now have better skills in Photoshop.
I've been thinking about saving these new images and having them made into rubber and not offering them in digi format. I can't really offer them in both for practical reasons. Which do you as crafters prefer? Rubber stamps or digi?

She's called, "Escape the Tower" and she's part of the Enchantment line. For some reason I just don't feel like she's up to the same standards as the rest of the line. Maybe it's the happy dolphins. The Boutique is accepting applications for new designers from now until August 20.
Please e-mail your application to:
Tracey Malnofski at traceydawnn@msn.com and
Christy Dillman at micahzane@yahoo.com.

We will need your contact info. as well as a short bio. about yourself. Please let us know about your experience with digital images and any other DT's you are on.

The new designers will be announced on August 25. The term is from September1-November 30, 2010.

What is expected of Boutique designers:

1. Complete at least 1 project weekly, whether it be for challenges we are sponsoring or your own projects. (minimum requirement is 4 projects per month)

2. Post comments and photos on SNR/PCP/SCS and other social networking sites to promote TSB.

3. You will also be required to leave comments on blogs for TSB followers/fans that participate in our challenges and leave love on fellow DT gals/guys blogs.

4. Participate in TSB events (blogs, digi days, etc) where sufficient notice is given.

What you'll receive:

1. The exclusive TSB designers badge for your blog.

2. 4 digital images at no cost per month to use in your projects.

3. A 40% discount on all digital images the entire time you are a TSB designer.

I just finished these kiddos and wanted to get them posted before starting dinner. The baby sister has a look to her that reminds me of my niece, Madyson, when she was born. I can't explain it and I didn't do it on purpose. It just evolved. This is going to be one of my favorites, I think. I can't wait for my sister to see this. Have a wonderful evening, my friends. :D

A new/old friend...

It seems I've come a long way in a year. I was looking at a popular snowman image from 2009, "BlogHog snowmen" and really didn't like the quality and a few things about the image. So,I gave the old fellas a face lift and re-drew them, and re-scanned them from scratch. It took me pretty much all day, but I'm so happy I did it. In fact, if you purchased this image last year and would like to exchange it for this one, send it back to me at traceydawnn@msn.com and I'll be happy to send the updated version. If you'd like to purchase it new, it's in the store. I'd don't like sounding like a commercial so I'll stop that. Anyway, I think this one is much better. I think they're even smiling a little brighter. :D

On the drawing board...

I've had a couple of people ask about showing images in the process of being drawn and I've seen some other artists do this, so as long as you don't mind the mistakes, I don't mind showing them. This is image is one I started today. I'm not sure where I'm going with her yet. I think maybe holding a balloon in the other hand. Something summery whatever it is. I have to start school images next so I'm doing as many summer images as I can. If I get some comments that you all like seeing the "in process" stuff, I'll keep posting them.
